The one thing I’ve been craving lately more than anything other (minus spinach and ricotta rolls!) have been dresses. Particularly around Valentines day which I missed but I for one believe that, whether you’re of any gender, you never need an excuse to wear a pretty dress.

Originally this was going to be “hey look at these pretty dresses” (which all happen to be below fifty dollars) kind of post but while scrolling through hundreds and hundreds of generic black dresses my thoughts of the kind of dresses that really stand out for me were provoked. I tend towards loose styles that are loose only above the waist, are loose only bellow it or are loose all over.
What kind of dresses do you find yourself gravitating towards? Do you have a type of dress?

Exactly! Exactly. That's what I keep repeating when people tell me I “ovedressed” for the “occasion”, but if I had to wait for “occasions” then all my wonderful dresses would just lie in my wardrobe for months, waiting for an “occasion” to finally come… but I'm digressing XD
I guess I have a type of dress, it's tutu minidresses, possibly corseted 😀 that's the kind of dress I always find myself looking for when I'm on polyvore XD and sometimes I've been kind of worried that my followers my outfits a little bit repetitive… XD
My type of dress is usually very victorian ankle length with lace and lots of rooms for petticoats.
I tend to prefer dresses that are more loose at the bottom, but there are some exceptions though ^^
I like dresses that are high-waisted to empire waist with slight a-line to very full skirts. Almost every dress I own is like that.
