The Lives of Lovers Really Is That Tragic

Do I lie to you, my love?
Tell you I don’t feel the itch
Or worse to feed it with that silver edge.
Will my lies get better with practice
If I choose the pleasure over you
If I choose my pleasure over nothing.
What do I feel? If anything.
A lived out dream will always end
But stay within my memories
To dream and dream again.
My thoughts stray from the innocent
To scarred thighs, charred lies.
To things I know I’ll never take
But choose to dream of everyday.
You once were a dream –
Four years have past.
And sudden dreams have never last.
Yet I choose to dream again.
But that’s the fate of lovers dreams
Come to an end.
For now I’ll cut and lie
And commit myself to false goodbyes.
To kill myself is what I choose.
When love is lost,
In the end of dreams,
And where lovers lives will always lead.

Questionaire: Art Recording

Hey guys, I thought I’d share with you all the message I sent to those who left their email addresses with me in response to this post here. So, if any of you are still interested feel free to join. I would prefer if you dropped me a comment or message first but it’s all pretty fine.

If you didn’t get this email and left me your email address somewhere I probably missed it but every time I received one I would place you in my chart, so hopefully I didn’t.

Hello,
you expressed your interest in answering some recorded questions for my Art major work and for that I thank you so much! The questions are below. The only question that is very much needed is the name (more information below) as I want to credit all of you in my work. After I complete this audio I will definitely post it on my blog (names included, so if you don’t want your name on YouTube please just leave me a message or even if you want your part completely removed from the online version.)  www.ourwalrusroom.blogspot.com.au

Generally most audio files are fine, you could also upload a video onto YouTube (or send me a video, but I can’t accept video’s on any other video hosting site) and don’t worry if the quality isn’t all that good; as long as you can get your words across. I may also email you for what you were saying (if I can’t understand you) as I’m presenting a written copy along with the audio and artwork.

Alternatively, if you can’t record your voice you could also send me a written response to these questions and I’ll have someone read them out loud into the microphone for you.

The answers to these questions can be discussion or question and answer as long as the general questions are answered that’s perfectly fine – so don’t worry if your answers aren’t in perfect order or you go a little off topic. These are also the raw audio and will be cut and paste into the final piece.

These files will only be used in the above state ways and in no other project without consent. You can withdraw your audio at any time.

You can reach me at NailsDevil@gmail.com at any time to ask questions or send in your audio/video. I answer my emails numerous times every day and you will have a response in no longer than twenty-four hours.

Thank you again for participating!
Love, Sary.

1. Your name is? (Nickname or real name; full name isn’t necessary but perfectly fine).

2. In what country do you live? (If you wish, you could also be more specific.)

3. What would you define yourself as (Goth, generally alternative, Schwarze Szene, etc)?

4. Why did you decide to join this subculture or label?

5. How do people tend to react to you?

6. Have you or friends ever had some negative reactions/situations because of your/their appearance (etc)? (Please elaborate on said reactions)

7. How did/does the reason behind said reaction make you feel?

8. Why do you think this happens?

9. Do you think this is an injustice and why/why not?

10. What kinds of things do you like doing in your spare time?

Take the statement, “I’m just a normal person that has a different taste.”

11. Do you agree with this? (Elaborate on why.)

A Call To All Alternatives Out There.

I have something to ask you all. I’m working on a major artwork for my HSC (end of school final mark that gets me into university) and came up with an idea today. My idea is to compile an audio file with voices in relation to my artwork. My art work, as discussed with my teacher, is going to be about Subcultures and the misconceptions and isolation they face everyday.

I want to have alternative people’s (not just Goths) voices talking about themselves and what they face in everyday life because of the way they dress. I will be compiling a list of simple questions and wanted to know if anyone would partake in this, if I asked nicely? :3 All you’d have to do is make a video or a voice recording answering the questions and email them to me to be cut up and made into an audio track for a CD. (You could even you-tube it.) I will be asking non-alternatives as well  but they’ll probably have a different set of questions.

If I get enough of a response to this I will be able to go through with it and will definitely post it up here for everyone to hear (I will make sure to cut out parts that people don’t want to be up on my blog.)

So, what do you say? Please email me at NailsDevil@gmail.com if you’re interested. Or just comment below with your email address. :3

Best wishes,
-Sary

Day 23 – Your favourite artist or photographer.

I have a few favourite artist’s. My favourite would have to be Char Davies, she is amazing. She created two whole 3D virtual universes that are sectioned into seasons, places and even organs or blood. The pictures and video’s of it’s exploration are amazing. She’s an inspiration.

The movement in each world is created by your breath and balance. You’ll move faster if you breath rapidly and forward if you balance forward. It’s suppose to simulate you flying. Some say that the music and atmosphere is creepy and frightening but I think it’s beautiful and  peaceful.

I first stumbled across Char Davies work while doing an art assignment and am so glad that I did. I wouldn’t have wanted to miss this beautiful creation, that’s leading to further development of virtual art.

Here is some exploration of one of the virtual worlds called Osmose.

Of course the voice is commentary but the music and sounds are in the world.

Here are some pictures/video’s of Ephémère.

Computer artwork: It’s not great but it’s somewhat of a progress.

I first got into computer generated art recently. Probably last year. I haven’t made much progress due to my laziness. Here are just some pieces. Xary wanted me to put the only comic I’ve ever attempted and finished, it took twenty four hours, up here so I thought might as well throw in a little more.

First: My first ever computer work. Of course it’s drawn, scanned and then redone on the computer. I use MX Flash and this one was photoshop elements, I think. This is what my boy friend would look like if he wore Steampunk clothes. The background was done in, like, a minute in paint.

This is Obese Bear AND acquaintance. My first ever comic. Years and years ago I had draw an obese bear in religion (I didn’t do religion and before you say, but you catholic! it was because my teacher was a complete ass-hole, for lack of a better word, who I would constantly argue with about the issue of homosexuality. more on that another time) and I thought it would be funny. I saved it on my desk for a year or so and found it and decided, why not make a comic? Too bad I’m horrible with story lines. (I spent years trying to be a writer and just plain sucked).

This is a piece I’m working on now. It isn’t finished, I only put it on my facebook to get some feedback. I started using a new program and this was created while experimenting with it. I’d drawn it before hand along with a whole other book filled with sketches of Goth’s and the like.

What do you think?

Black and White; A cartoon adventure.

My titles must be very misleading! This is just some of my artwork that I’ve been doing for a larger project piece. I’m obsessed with cartoon-esque black and white figures. It wont be long before I’m drawing cameos! Well, enjoy!

Also, these are in the order in which I’ve drawn them, which spans three or four months.

These were originally carrots, hence the carrots in nooses in the background. It’s one of my favorites.
A puppet girl.
Titled “Death-Metal Teddy” I LOVE HIM.
This one originally came with a label that read, “You Honestly Make me want to Write Horrible Poetry, About you Eulogy.”

Originally just a doodle, this is my DEATH-ROCKER-DUDE.

This is for anyone who plays Mine-Craft. This is my version of a cartoon CREEPER.
After drawing the DEATH-ROCKER I wanted to add one to my collection of stereotypes so I added a Romanti-Goth.
This was my crappy five minute cartoon sketch of my boy friend.
