Outfit Post: Smokey Eyes, My Favourite Place and What Kind of Dog Collar Is This?

Today I look a ridiculously short trek down the street to one of my favourite places with the beloved to show you guys this new shawl/overthing in full action (in comparison to this post here), my new collar, and a little more alternative of an outfit with terrible hair. Why do you do this to me, hair!

Goth, alternative, outfit, fishnet, make up,
I also tried out a tonne of new make-up stuff that I recently acquired.

My hair just didn’t want to co-operate that day. It may or may not have been the recent trim. I could achieve perfect curls with my regular brushing technique but I don’t like perfect curls, I wanted nicely messy curls. And this is a little too “invisible person is holding a piece of my hair up”, don’t you think?

make up, goth, purple, black, smokey eye,
That’s not snot, it’s a scar from blowing my nose so much when I was sick.

I’m really confused as to the purpose of these random shiny, mirror things on my new collar. My mum has a weakness for sales, so she came home with two different collars not knowing what they were. I snatched them up as soon as I could. This one fits perfectly – too perfectly. Knowing the store she bought it from it’s probably a silly bit of decoration. But if you have any thoughts, I’d love to know?

Overthing: EBay, skirt: Cotton On, Singlet: Second-hand, Collar: Cotton On
fishnet shirt: EBay (originally stockings)Stockings: Anon, Boots: Doc Marten.

This is one of my favourite places in the world. As a child I would come here with my mum to feed the horses just down my street and go inside with my friends to have adventures with ‘sand-witches’ and picnics. The first time I stumbled down this trail with my best friend we looked out towards the sunset to find it partially covered by a large kangaroo on top of some small hills. Unfortunately this once farm turned to ruin and has long since just been a trail to get to the new estates they’re building on top of it. I’m really not a fan of suburbs in which all the houses look exactly the same, and all the trees are demolished and not replaced.

Outfit Post: Stripes, Studs and Bare Shoulders

This is an outfit I wore in my one week of holidays! It’s insane that I took one day to actually get dressed – I write while I sit here in my leopard print pajama pants and a blue Space Invaders shirt and finish my essay for next week. A great friend of mine came back into town for the first time in a year and I was persuaded to put on clothes and actually leave the house (you may think I’m being dramatic but I’m really not).

This blouse, I received with my birthday present jacket here from SheInside, is ridiculously versatile. At first the open shoulders were questionable because it’s oversized and the fabric lays strangely but it grew on me over time. Now I can wear it as a long blouse and under jumpers/coats purely for the lovely collar.

The stripes on skirt are lovely – but I don’t wear it very often since it’s very loud. Thus, I layered it under this long blouse, to peek out a little but not overwhelm.

Blouse: SheInside, Belt: Boohoo.com, Skirt: Cotton On, Shoes: Doc Marten, Stockings: Anonymous
It’s not often that I include a picture of my full face!

Are any of you guys also a bit of a hermit? Or do you have any pieces you aren’t sure how to wear or make versatile?

Outfit Post: The Cure, Crimped, Ripped, Spiked, Chains and Docs

I was up really early this day hence by general ‘urg’ look. I had to get up early to get to the post office after a long night. My hair was done in small plaits for the crimps, I’m not sure if I like it. And I think the V-neck really changes the look to a more pretty one. I love my jumper though.

Dusty Docs are Dusty.

Shirt: It’s Boy Don’t Cry shirt I picked up at Supanova.
V-neck: Thrifted. It has the most gorgeous detailing on the shoulder which is unfortunately under my hair.
Skirt: K-mart.
Necklace: EBay.
Collar: EBay.
Stockings: Anonymous.
Shoes: Doc Marten.

Outfit Post: Spikeed collar, circle skirt and Spooky.

There isn’t much to say for an intro today. I’ve been sitting around the house studying for my exams for the past two months and not doing much. Plus, I’ve been a bit out of internet-land as my work-desktop computer has needed formatting and I haven’t gotten around to installing drivers and software, setting up internet yet. Thus, I’m living out of my tiny net-book. It’s times like this when I’m so happy to live with a horde of computer nerds that know all about partitions, boot files and system recovery.

I’ve been thinking that while I choose to tone down my eye-make up regularly it’s a great chance to up the lipstick. Getting used to wearing lipstick is something I’m going to have to do one day.

Spooky is my favourite little cat. She sat followed me around
while I was eating lunch outside and taking pictures.

Spooky and I seem to have a bond. She’s the only cat that I have ever allowed to sleep on my bed. I may have already said this in another post but once she was sleeping on my bed and in the morning she crawled up the bed to cuddle against my side and when I woke up from drifting off for a few minutes I opened my eyes to see her nose up against my nose, eyes wide staring directly at me. It’s clear that I was more than shocked.

Outfit:

Spiked collar: EBay.
Necklace: Secondhand- family gift. I’m starting to think it’s very unlucky though. It’s probably a coincidence but every day I wear it I just can’t think straight.
Shirt: Goth-Angel (a generic Goth-shop from my town that closed down years ago).
Skirt: K-mart.
Stockings: Anonymous.
Shoes: Pointed slip-on’s from Cotton on, though you can’t see them.

Best wishes,

Bodyline Review: Blouses (short and long sleeve)

This is the fourth in my series of reviews of a bunch of new items I bought from Bodyline recently for my birthday. I plan to do rather in depth accounts of each so I thought it best not to lump the ridiculous amount of detail pictures into one post.

Short sleeved blouse:

Details:

Title: L375
Colour-way: Black.
Size: M
Fabric: Thick cotton. A bit stiff.

Un-ironed.
  • The lace is just as soft and nice as usual. It isn’t the best in the world but it’s still good.
Strawberry buttons! That are actually the colour
in the link rather than this colour.
  • The lace on the sleeves is the only lace in this whole bundle of clothes that is scratchy and annoying. It’s bearable but very annoying when I’m paying attention to it.
  • I adore the little strawberry on the sleeve with the bow though!

  • The annoying thing that confirms my want to get rid of the fake corset lacing is the fact that they use lace instead of grommets or even hoops or something. You wouldn’t want to pull it too tightly or I just know it’ll rip right into the blouse.

Long sleeved blouse:

Details:

Title: L114

Colour-way: Black.
Size: M
Fabric: Thick and VERY stretchy! So soft!

Un-ironed.
  • The fabric of this blouse makes me so happy! Considering it’s one of Bodyline’s cheaper blouses it’s so good!
  • This blouse successfully stood up to the washing machine, as most Bodyline items do, and is just as soft as ever.
I think the collar is adorable.
Lace overload.
  • The cuffs of the sleeves don’t actually undo. The buttons are fake but it doesn’t really matter to me.

  • All the lace is pretty darn soft!

  • I love the heart shaped buttons!

  • The back has two corset laced parts which are kind of useless as the fabric is so stretchy.
  • Yet again with the corset lacing.

Overall, I love these blouses and can see myself using them in a lot more than just lolita co-ordinates. Actually they’d both be great for kinderwhore!

Best wishes,
