My Past, Present and Future.

I’ve seen this a few times, all on blogs that aren’t mostly in English so I didn’t really have any idea what it was until I read Bones and Lilies post here. I wanted to do it as well, so I am! I’m only eighteen so I’ll change it a bit to suit my age though.

Manic Panic: Mystic Heather – Lipstick Review

For Christmas Kitty bought me the loveliest lipstick, along with a wonderful Manic Panic pressed powder. Finally, I’ve gotten around to review it! She remembered that I was on that search for a nice pink lipstick (I think!) and she most definitely succeeded. Manic Panic’s quality is always good, they’re always vegan and tend to cater for the more alternative.

(Right click and open pictures into another tab for a larger view.)

Quality:
As usual, great quality. The lipstick isn’t drying; actually it’s very moisturising. Nothing was broken the packaging was great and came with bundles of giant buble-wrap! The case is definitely Creature of the Night and so lovely!

Once applied.

Wear-ability:
This lipstick stains like hell! It lasted six hours on until it started to dry (without applying lip moisturiser before hand) and then it was only a slight touch up! The colour is VERY fluro. It was a lot brighter than the lipstick actually makes it out to be and it a lot more purple.

I also have to mention the picture below was taken after eating two meals!

Is this lipstick worth it?

I think so. Though I probably wont buy it again as it’s very fluorescent, I’m definitely going to finish this lipstick off!

Best wishes,
-SaryWalrus

After six hours. You can see my lip drying.

Outfit: Pink and Black Stripes

I was sitting on my computer talking to my Coen when fashion inspiration suddenly hit! It doesn’t look as good, as it did in my mind, on the photo but oh well. I pulled together a spooky children outfit, consisting of:

Blouse: Thrifted.
Broach (which is annoyingly lop sided): Gift – Kitty – Dracula Clothing.
Skirt: Gift – Parents
Stockings: Jolly Ollies
Shoes(that you can’t see): Mary-Janes – Gift

Most expensive thing in this outfit were the stocking which I bought from a very cheap store (they were still over priced) and they still didn’t fit. So I decided to cut them and made them into thigh highs, which is what happens to all of my stockings eventually. There was, to my joy, actually Halloween merchandise in town! Sure, it was the exact same things in each store and they were all over priced but I was just happy to have some Halloween around me!

Best Wishes,
-Sary

Fashion Inspiration: The Second

Here are some pictures that I’ve borrow from the internet as inspiration. I think they’re rather diverse.

New Hair – Different Make Up – AND Outfit Post

This most colourful post is all due to a quest for a new profile picture after dyring my hair. Surprisingly enough the colour was suppose to be a dark purple but turned more pink. I did a strand test first off but something persuaded me to ignore the most obvious results and just do it, it’ll be completely different! Of course, the strand test was completely right. I’m expecting it too fade quite quickly anyway but in the shot term it’s not too bad.

Back to my quest. I decided to do an outfit post before doing my make up all pretty. I recently found a new make up tutorial that I really love and decided to try a bit of it.

Colourful!

Don’t mind my ridiculous expression in the photo beside this.

I have an absurd number of black dressed that my mum pick up for me when she was volunteering in a second-hand store. I rarely wear any of them these day’s but they’re still always around.

Outfit
 Dress: Second-hand.
Shoes: Demonia.
Stockings: My mum?
Shirt: Kitty’s.
Necklace: Equip.

I’m proud that this make up look doesn’t look entirely like the rest of my usual ones, they all seem to look the same to me. Usually I have to slowly integrate something into my make up otherwise I have no control over the product.

Look! Very shoddy tight lining but I’m proud of my blending. It’s also been too long since I used dots in my make up. My current liquid eye-liner is way too thin to do very nice dots with, but dots none the less.

 Hope you enjoyed!

Outfit/make-up: Pink and Punk.

Bright pink shadow with black over the top, no primer. My attempt at blending. Black eye-liner dots. Grey pencil eye-liner on the bottom half covered in bright pink shadow and then black with a tiny bit of white in the corner of my eye.

 Outfit:
Bow: Go-lo – $1.
Collar: EBay – $7
Shirt: Mum’s – Free!
Skirt: Best and Less, Christmas – Free
Tutu: EBay – $7
Tights: Mum’s – Free!
Shoes: Demonia – A birthday present from some friends a lot time ago, including Kitty Lovett.
CONTINUE DOWN.

Spiked collar.

I love the clumsiness of this photo!

This post was quite rushed considering I really should be studying but at the end of the term I’m quite the procrastinator. Three more day’s of school until the holiday’s and then onto my last term as a year eleven, along with exam term.

Pink and Dotss; Inspired Experimentation

Try and ignore my horrible eye brows.

My readers would probably have noticed my recent obsession with make up (If I have any readers?). This is primarily because I’m very desperate to get better but generally because it’s plain fun! Today, after reading Gothically Yours….‘s blog post that included eyeshadow tips, I decided to try a modest amount of dots and to expand out of my comfort zone.

First I applied my base using a round edged eye shadow blending  brush. I applied a dark pink from my eyebrow to the end of the top eyelid. I then took the same round eyeshadow brush and using white, brushed over my brow bone and around the crease, making the edge of the pink rounder and the white mixing with the pink to create a very light pink.

I then swept across my lower lid in white eyeshadow and also added a tiny line of kohl pencil on my lower lid.

Next I lined my lid with black no-name liquid eyeliner. I tried my hardest at modest wings but my eyeliner brush is very broad. I don’t mind the wings on this eye though. I put a wing leading on from the main lined lid and then added another coming out from the original wing.

The dots I added were first under my eye but I didn’t like the look of them and soon they ‘mysteriously disappeared’. I added them on my brow bone with liquid eyeliner and was surprised I had improved with my dots. Hehe! I then added mascara on top and bottom lash lines, as usual!

What do you think? I think that the pink somewhat disguises the Gothic details, meaning the dots and wings, but doesn’t take away from the fantasy!

-Hope you enjoyed! Ms. Walrus.
